Van Brunt Stillhouse Smoked Corn Whiskey is as American as it gets: bold and beautiful and just a little dangerous. A campfire in a glass. Distilled in Brooklkyn from 80% corn and 20% wheat, grown in New York State and smoked right at the distillery using American hardwood. Aged in our own used bourbon casks for over 2 years. United StatesAroma is sweet, a hint of buttered popcorn and a funky scent of burnt tires. The burnt tires are very present on the palate. Otherwise it’s sweet and smoky, but like a campfire extinguished by rain. (Reminds me of a lighter ASW Tire Fire.)
